1. Africa and Asia are both very diverse continents, and I enjoyed getting to learn about each areas differences. I was surprised by the climate differences in each place, Japan having typhoons is scary knowing they can cause so much damage. I liked looking through all of the images of the architecture especially the egyptian temples. I personally think the philae temple was the most interesting to look at because of all the details with the people carved into it, and it all telling some type of a story. I liked reviewing the hieroglyphics and symbols slide as well, I thought it was interesting to try and see how a sentence in their language would have looked.

- Egypt - Chairs were used as "a symbol of authority, used as thrones."
- China - Zhou Dynasty - Altar tables were used to hold important pieces, items to remember ancestors/gods, and used to offer foods or wine.
- Japan - Shoji screens are important in japanese culture, the provide lots of natural light and provide a minimalistic feel and openness as one room can feel enlarged when the screens are opened.
